"Bay Bridge" Necklace By Kat Glazewski

Kat Glazewski's creations are a delightful blend of contemporary aesthetics and playful charm, as she expertly combines materials to fashion unique and whimsical pieces. This homage to the bay bridge features a two-sided silver pendant on a steel cord. A dark blue tiger's eye stone captures the velvety darkness of a night sky, or the water of the bay at night. The strong vertical posts celebrate the lofty lines of suspension bridges, and perhaps their reflection in the water. On the other side, a cutout of the bay itself becomes abstract, while the five major bridges of the region rise up above the map. The pendent measures 1.5" x 1" x 0.25" and the chain is 18." PLEASE NOTE: this piece is currently being shown in our collaborative show with the Metal Arts Guild, "Bridging the Bay."
