Black Flower Cork Jar By Gail Miles

Gail Miles uses a variety of beautiful finishing techniques on her porcelain and stoneware pottery. Beautiful, earthy, rough, textured, matte clay is enhanced by the contrast of a soft luxurious jewel-toned glaze. This thrown cork jar features a warm gray exterior with black silhouettes of flowers and leaves. The finish of the exterior is rough with a slight sheen, while the interior is also warm gray but with a glossy finish. Dark speckles in the light brown clay body show through the surface treatment. The corked jar measures about 4.5" in height and 4" in width.
