Orange Scallop Vase By Deb Sullivan

Deb Sullivan strives to create at the intersection where function meets art. Her vibrant pottery begins with a hand-rolled slab of clay. Each slab is textured with one of a kind stamps and rollers. After each slab is formed into a vessel, the vessel is adorned with newsprint transfers, underglazes, washes and glaze. The forms of the vessels reference California landscapes, and to further this, much of the vitrified clay is left bare - without glaze. All cone 6 pottery is lined with glaze and is food, dishwasher and microwave safe. This beautiful vase is decorated with bright strawberrries on an orange background. It measures about 6.5" in height, 3.5" in diameter at its opening and 3.75" in diameter at its base.
