Pâte De Verre Orange Vase With Wire Belt by Margo Scarpulla

Margo Scarpulla makes one-of-a-kind saggar, naked raku, horse hair and pit-fired pottery, as well as unique pâte de verre glass vessels. Pâte de verre is a method of kiln casting glass using crushed or powdered glass with a binding agent over a plaster mold. After the firing and cooling, the mold is broken away and the fused glass piece is completed. This striking vase features an orange ombre coloration with an undulating pattern and a twisted wire belt accent. The vase measures about 4" diameter and 5" tall.
