Rattle Lidded Jar By Gail Miles

Gail Miles uses a variety of beautiful finishing techniques on her porcelain and stoneware pottery. Beautiful, earthy, rough, textured, matte clay is enhanced by the contrast of a soft luxurious jewel-toned glaze. This handbuilt four-legged jar features a warm gray exterior adorned with a variety of Miles' signature patterns including flowers, text, leaves, and geometric forms. The finish of the exterior is natural with a slight sheen, while the interior is glossy with the warm brown clay body showing through. The lid is charmingly dual purpose--when shaken, it functions as a rattle! The lidded jar measures about 7" in height and 4" in width.
