Rachel Tirosh creates non-representational abstract paintings, expressing balance and movement using layers of texture, color and marks. "Abstraction allows me the freedom to create without comparing to an existing object, it is all my imagination, my memory or my dream and later it is the interpretation of the viewer. The shapes in this small painting are a shadow I captured on my porch. Each color is a layer of the same shadow in different orientation." Paper, acrylic on cradle board.
