Shallow Bowl With Blue Flowers By Gail Miles

Gail Miles uses a variety of beautiful finishing techniques on her porcelain and stoneware pottery. Beautiful, earthy, rough, textured, matte clay is enhanced by the contrast of a soft luxurious jewel-toned glaze. This shallow thrown bowl features a pattern of interlocking, geometric blue and white flowers on its exterior wall and a warm gray glossy glaze on its interior. Dark speckles from the light brown clay body occasionally show through the glaze. The dish measures about 7" in diameter and 2" in height.
