Stop Playing With Your Vegetables by Margaret Dorfman and Karen Mason

This piece is a collaboration between two longstanding ACCI artists, Margaret Dorfman and Karen Mason. Margaret Dorfman's unique art form consists of layering paper thin slices of vegetables and fruits into what she calls "vegetable parchments” which are then used to create luminous sculptures and jewelry. Karen Mason utilizes layers upon layers of oil, ink, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, and resin over textured surfaces to capture the mood of animals and botanicals in her paintings.

This co-created, mixed medium, piece combines their distinctive styles in a playful and vibrant scene. Made from watercolor, pen, carrot, mushroom, snow pea, broccoli and resin. This piece measures 7 x 7 x 1.5", framed.
