Textured Two-tone Pendant With CZ By Susan Williams
Susan Williams studied ceramics for many years, then in 2015 she discovered metal clay and was inspired to make it into jewelry and explore all the medium's possibilities. Much like a ceramic artist, Susan shapes the clay into jewelry forms, lets them dry and harden, then fires them in a kiln where the binding material burns off leaving solid metal behind.
She often mixes steel, bronze, and copper clays in one piece to create a mix of colors and textures. This bronze and steel pendant with a champagne CZ accent measures just over 1.5" long and hangs on a 20" gold-colored snake chain.
