Nora Sarkissian's dreamlike imagery pushed the boundaries of her clay medium. She infuses her studio pottery with narratives of the subconscious and stream of consciousness prose, elevating pottery from its traditional utilitarian realm. This whimsical plate or trivet features fantasy figures floating on the waves in a boat called the Ishmael. The plate measures about 6" x 7".
